What is specific about this market
From May the calendar fills with events that use the lakes around the city, and from autumn it shifts back to conferences and corporate meetings in hotels in the centre. The swing is sharper than in most Polish cities and it bears directly on staffing: through the summer we compete for the same people with the tourism business, so holiday dates are confirmed earlier here than elsewhere.
For an organiser planning from abroad the useful rule is that September behaves like a different market from July — same city, wider choice of people, lower accommodation cost. If the date is flexible, moving it out of the peak changes the arithmetic more than any negotiation over rates.
